Email, Facebook and Twitter: The New Triple Threat

For the uninitiated, the term “triple threat” in a boarding school usually refers to those faculty members who simultaneously teach, coach and serve as housemasters. But in 2011, it can also mean the powerful combination of email, Facebook and Twitter for staying connected with alumni and parents around the world.

Lawrenceville’s Alumni and Development Office has been employing these options for at least the past several years, much longer than that for email. All three transmit news and announce upcoming events, and as mobile devices become more ubiquitous, electronic communications will surely take on an even more important role.
